Zilaiskalns observation tower at Zilaiskalns Hill

Zilaiskalns observation tower stretching towards the sky in the hight of 38,3 meters that reveals a view of hillsdie in all directions. Watch sunrises, sunsets and forest-covered hill in the top of Zilaiskalns observation tower.

The hill was a special holy place for the ancient people, because there they celebrated their honor and performed ancient rituals. At the foot of the hill is the Zilaiskalns cultural history and visitor center, where you can get to know the history of the village, climb over the hill and look at the historical narrow-gauge railway locomotive with the help of virtual reality, buy souvenirs and get tourist information about travelling opportunities in Valmiera.

A new established trail - Health trail - winds at the foot of the observation tower in the lenth of 3 kilometers, offering recreation spots, exercise tutorial tables, swings and picnic table.

Green observation tower at Cīruļkalns Hill

The Green tower located at Žagarkalns ski resort offers visitors to see the beautiful landscape of Gauja Valley in the height of 22 meters.Cīrulkalns was chosen for the construction of the tower, because its peak is one of the highest points on this side of the river Gauja. Take a look both with your own eyes and with binoculars installed at the top of the tower. On the viewing platform of the tower, there are informative plates that tell in which direction are located some of the most popular natural and cultural sights.

After having vanquished its 139 brick steps, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the meandering Gauja River and the valley rich in forests. Construction of the Turaida stone castle was started in 1214. Over the centuries the castle had been rebuilt and improved. The castle experienced its revival in the second half of the 20th century.

Krimulda Manor.The terrace of the manor house and balcony offer a breath-taking view over the primeval valley of the River Gauja, and the cable car linking both banks of the river. The renovated tower of Krimulda manor allows you to delight your eyes and take great photos of the ancient Gauja valley.

Paradise Hill in Sigulda is among the most popular observation places in Latvia. Latvia's most prominent painters had chosen the Paradise Hill to paint the artworks of Gauja Valley. Due to the fact the Paradise Hill has reveived the second name - the Painter's Hill. Here we can see the forested valley landscape as far as 12 kilometers away.

Ainavu Cliff at Amata river Valley is a true natural wonder that amazes with its grandeur for centuries! The massive Ainavu Cliff is streamlined with layers upon layers of colourful sandstone outcrops and surrounded by the nearby ravines. The colours of nature mingle and blend together, adorning the ancient cliff.
 
 
Cēsis Medieval Castle and Cēsis New Castle towers
Cēsis Medieval Castle and Cēsis New Castle are located next to each other. Discover the history of more than eight centuries and visit the Western tower of Cēsis medieval castle and the tower of Cēsis New Castle. The Lademahera tower of the New palace is considered one of the first examples of neo-Gothic architecture in Latvian manors. Valmiera St. Simon's Church
