Our most popular 1/2 day canoe trip is a great introduction to canoeing on the River Gauja for a group of 2-6 people. With twists and turns, rapids and beautiful wildlife, there's enough to keep you entertained and smiling. Our guide who knows the river and the surrounding area will lead you to discover the beautiful surroundings directly from the river. You'll leave the boat refreshed, relaxing on the river.

Cēsis to Ligatne ferry. 17 km, Estimated time 4-5hrs

The trip will start at the Cēsis Bridge and end at the famous and ancient Līgatne ferry crossing.

The guide service, the hire of the boat, life jackets, paddles,  dry bag and transport to the river and back to Karlamuiza Country Hotel. A full safety briefing for each client before setting off to ensure that everyone is confident of a safe ride on the river.

Canoe season from 1 May to 15 October every year.

We offer canoe rentals to explore the beautiful Gauja river. We will help you to choose the most appropriate route and transportation to and from the river Gauja. For your safety and convenience, we provide life jackets and waterproof bags. We also offer guided river and lake tours. During your trip, you will gain new skills, hear interesting stories, and see the most exquisite places.
