As part of the international World Wood Days, we are holding Wood Days on March 23 in the Woodcraft Museum of Vienkoči Park. All about and around traditional woodworking.

Masters of the Notrthmen's Guild will make some of the intricate joints of carpenters; Rihard Walters will demonstrate bending and making wooden skis; museum creator Rihards Vidzickis will talk about the ancient tools in the museum and their use; woodcarver Edgars Viņķelis will make wooden spoons; Oskars Grabovskis will show how a musical instrument - kalimba - is made; let's also swing an ax; let's turn on the foot lathe and, if necessary, use some more of the ancient woodworking tools.
