Over two days, in Sigulda, Līgatne, Cēsis, Turaida, and other locations within and near the national park, visitors can enjoy hikes, workshops, educational activities, and special events that reveal the park’s natural treasures in a new light.
The Travelers’ Days are organized by the Nature Conservation Agency in collaboration with the Gauja National Park Tourism Association Enter Gauja, involving local entrepreneurs. The event has become a beloved tradition, attracting both locals and visitors, offering opportunities to explore Latvia’s natural wealth, cultural heritage, and creative activities.
Highlights of the program include:

This year’s unifying motto, “Art in Nature,” invites visitors to see Latvia’s landscapes as living paintings. Participants will not only enjoy the autumn colors but also create their own art—through workshops, painting, photography, and discovering how art and nature complement each other.
Some events are free of charge, while others require prior registration and a participation fee. The full program and registration information are available HERE, as well as from the event organizers.
Gauja National Park Travelers’ Days are part of a broader initiative launched by the Nature Conservation Agency, taking place in several specially protected areas across Latvia, including Slītere, Ķemeri, and Rāzna National Parks, as well as the North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve.
