The SUP adventure in Salac will take us through one of the most beautiful rivers in Latvia with sandstone outcrops and cliffs, which in their splendor certainly compete with the popular landscapes found on the banks of Gauja and Brasla. The 20-kilometer long SUP route has been designed so that even participants without previous experience can go on it. At the starting point, Vecatė, when the Salaca flows out of Lake Burtnieku, the river is completely calm and will allow even beginners to get used to SUP paddling, while more experienced paddlers will be able to enjoy the peace and the diverse beauty of nature. The charm of Salaca is both its long, calm and majestic sections surrounded by rocks, as well as its rapids, especially when nature starts to color in autumn colors. Its waters will not leave anyone indifferent.
After Mazsalac, we will have a lunch break with a meal prepared by Boards You. Having strengthened ourselves and gathered our strength, we will go into the water, where the river will become a little faster, which will give us the opportunity not to spend our accumulated strength rowing, and we will stop at the shore from time to time to look at the rocks and explore a cave. During these breaks, we will catch our breath to continue our SUP adventure along Salaca to Daugēni itself. We will go ashore in Daugēni, rest a bit and go to the starting point to get our cars.
