6th Gourmet Festival in Sigulda

At the event from noon between 12.00 and 16.00, visitors will be invited to enjoy the best dishes prepared by the chefs of Sigulda municipality and Riga-Gauja region. The winter challenge, which will be held for the sixth time, will feature and fire-ready chefs from the most recognised restaurants: “Entresol,” “farm,” “Lord Ria,” “Mal Palace Manor restaurant,” “Hotel Sigulda” restaurant, a gastrogrille bar in “trees,” “Mr. biscuit” and “Brien Palace restaurant.”

The restaurant-crusted taste treat will also be complemented by local producers of the county's flavors - winemakers “Zilver liquor” and Crimulda Manor wines “Cremon,” Sortus's healthy berries, Bliss gelato's surprising flavors ice creams, aromatic Sigulda's SmartCoffee Roastery coffee and DabLab's natural juice for strength, energy and immunity.

The atmosphere of music and dancing during the event will be ensured by:

• 12.00 - 14.00 vital ETNO-pop group national economies
• 14.00 - 16.00 Music fat gang “Rahu the Fool”
• In between, throughout the event, DJ Edgar Bercis.

The glittering beauty of winter will be highlighted by the surprises and ice vault created by the ice masters, in which the special product of the upcoming festival will be stowed in absolute safety. Gourmet hot hearts will be chilled by drinks served in unique ice glasses at the magical Ice wines Ice Bar. Guests' wellbeing will be taken care of by Walter Krause, a taste-of-life acquaintance, as he enjoys the vast offering.

“Everything will be beetroot!” because the festival star, or special product that chefs will include in recipes this time, will be – beetroot. It was this healthy garden last year that the taste masters forged from the secret ice chest.

Let's start the year deliciously and the festivities will continue to highlight the “green” character of Sigulda at the same time, meaning only environmentally friendly dishes will be used at the festival. However, workshops of craftsmen available in the territory will be able to acquire different skills and become acquainted with products created right here in the block of Sigulda Castle.

“Celebration of Winter flavours” is a festival of gastronomy, which will be held for the sixth time in the territory of Sigulda Palace of the order of Livonia, inviting visitors to indulge in gourmet adventure, enjoying the best restaurant of Sigulda municipality and Riga-Gauja region on a live-fire meal in the middle of winter. Cooking uses seasonal ingredients specific to the local region.
